Three players from Odisha have been selected for the 18-day national camp ahead of the Hockey World League Final at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from December 1.
The biggest tournament of the year will be played at the Kalinga Stadium in the state capital from December 1.This will be the first such occasion when three players from the state will wear the Indian colors to play an international tournament in front of their home crowd in Bhubaneswar.
While the Men’s Hockey World League Final, involving eight of World’s best teams including hosts India, will be played between December 1 and 10, 2017 in Bhubaneswar, the World Cup which is scheduled to be held between November and December 2018 will see 15 teams join the hosts at the event.
Preparations are in full swing for the ensuing event at the Kalinga Stadium while the city is being decked up to welcome the foreign players and delegates.
