8 Beaches across India have been recommended for ‘Blue Flag’ Certificate, This announcement come in the eve of coastal beach clean up day, over 100 countries celebrated this event since 1986, Indian ministry of environment & climate change, made a announcement during a virtual event.
Environmentalist, Independent National jury make recommendation of Blue Flag Beaches.
Blue Flag Beaches are consider the cleanest beaches around the world.
List of 8 Blue Flag Beaches of India
The eight beaches are:
- Shivrajpur in Gujarat,
- Ghoghla in Daman & Diu,
- Kasarkod and Padubidri beach in Karnataka,
- Kappad in Kerala,
- Rushikonda in Andhra Pradesh,
- Golden beach, Puri of Odisha
- Radhanagar beach in Andaman and Nicobar.
It went 4 to 5 year to clean 100 beach will be clean, Reported by Indian ministry of environment & climate change. In a Video message the world bank countries director applause effort made by India towards cleaning up its beaches.
