Bhitarkanika National Park in Odisha’s Kendrapara district reopened for tourists from today after remaining closed for three months due to breeding season of saltwater crocodiles.
Tourist intrested on going to Bhitarkanika can sign on to www.ecotourodisha.com for appointments. Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of the Rajnagar Wildlife Division, Bimal Prasanna Acharya said for the current year, additional courses of action have been made for sightseers by operationalizing eight bungalows at Dangamal for night end inside the recreation center.
The recreation center was shut for travelers from May 1 to July 31 amid the mating and settling periods of saltwater crocodiles to guarantee the wellbeing of people and give a friendly domain to the crocodiles. The denial was forced as the reptiles require a quiet situation for mating and settling.
Upwards of 101 homes of crocodiles were tallied amid the current year’s settling season against 79 homes checked a year ago.
