Odisha +2 Science Exam Results out; 76.98% students successful
Bhubaneswar: The results of the annual +2 Science examination conducted by the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) were announced by School & Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra at CHSE office here today.
The overall pass percentage has been recorded at 76.98 percent. Out of 95,096 students who had appeared for the exam, 73,211 have passed.
Nayagarh district has registered the highest pass percentage of 92.23 percent while lowest pass percentage of 43.43 percent was recorded in Gajapati district.
41 students have cleared the examination with 90 percent and above marks. 28 boys and 13 girls have secured 90 percent and above marks.
Out of the total 90,643 students who had appeared the +2 exam in Science stream, 73,523 students had cleared the examination in 2017. The pass percentage recorded was 81.11%. Girls outshone the boys with 82.36% over 80.29% last year.
Students can check the results will be made available on the website from May 19 at 11 AM. The students who had appeared for the examination can check the marks through the official website — www. chseodisha.nic.in. This apart, the results will be available at orissaresults.nic.in.
The results of Plus II Arts and Commerce examinations are likely to be declared by the end of this month, School & Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra informed.
This year, a total of 3, 80,707 students from 1,504 colleges in Science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational education streams had appeared for Plus-II annual examination which was held from March 6 to March 29 while the Practical exams were held from January 29 to February 8.
The examination was held in as many as 1,106 centers across the state
