Odisha became the first state to interrupt the COVID-19 vaccination campaign for a day in the first process. On January 17, the Odisha administration decided not to conduct the coronavirus vaccination drive for a day on 17th Jan, to see, whether there was any complication from the jab produced by those who received the COVID-19 vaccine on January 16.
The immunization was performed on day one of the coronavirus vaccination campaign at 161 session sites in 30 districts of Odisha. On the first day of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, the state vaccinated about 16,000 health care and frontline staff.
