Odisha’s Lilima Minz, player of Indian Women’s Hockey team, has been selected for the Ekalabya Puraskar – 2018.one of the most prestigious sports awards of Odisha.
The Ekalabya Committee including jury individuals drawn from various strolls of life were consistent in their choice to choose Lilima Minz for the honor at a gathering held here today.
The 23-year-old player, who hails from a remote town in Sundergarh locale, would be given money prize of Rs 5 lakh and a reference at the Ekalabya Award capacity to be held in Bhubaneswar. The date for Ekalabya Award capacity will be declared later.
Minz, who made her global introduction in a four-country competition in Argentina in 2011, has likewise spoken to India at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Other than Minz, the Ekalabya Committee will congratulate two different sportspersons for their splendid exhibitions in different national and worldwide matches.
Thye are weightlifter Jhili Dalabehera and Rituparna badminton star Rituparna Panda. Both will get a money prize of Rs 50,000 each alongside references.
Worth specifying, the Ekalabya Puraskar has been founded by IMPaCT, the social wing of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys (IMFA), which has been advancing writing, sports, expressions, culture and other socially important exercises in Odisha for quite a long time.
