Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has donated his three-month salary to the Kovid-16 fund under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to fight the corona. Not only that, others have appealed for a helping hand during the disaster.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office today, Chief Minister Shri Patnaik said that “extraordinary response is urgent”. Covid-16 is a huge challenge for the whole world. Adequate funding is needed for this.
With this in mind, Chief Minister Shri Patnaik has paid his 3 months salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. It will be specifically mentioned in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in the form of “Covid-16 Funds”. Chief Minister Shri Patnaik has appealed to all to donate generously to the Covid-16 Fund for humanitarian assistance to the affected people.
The BJP, on the other hand, has reacted with support. Sanjay Dasbarma, a senior party leader and vice-chairman of the planning board, has appealed to all BJP legislators and MPs to donate their three-month salaries to the chief minister’s relief fund by March 28.
