The Odisha government has asked the departments of tourism, forest and atmosphere, and water resources to spot locations of eco-retreat interventions for enhancing nature touristry activities within the state.
The collectors were directed to spot locations for putting in year-round eco-retreat sites, nature camps, day destinations, watercourse cruise, boating, jungle hunting expedition, life observance towers in their districts.
The proposals relating to scaling up eco-tourism activities at Talasari, Konark, Satpada, Chandipur, Debrigarh, Bhitarkanita, Similipal, Daringibadi, Astarang, Satkosia gorge, Tikarpada, Hirakud, Chilika and Nalabana in Odisha were mentioned within the meeting.
Demarcate commercial enterprise zones in forest areas, list out the dams, watercourse stretches and water bodies having smart potential for yachting, water boats, cruises and placement of houseboats.
