President Ram Nath Kovind reached Odisha today on his maiden visit to the state. The first citizen of the country and his wife Savita Kovind arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here around 10.30 am.
President of India, Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday dedicated Anand Bhawan, the ancestral house of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik, to the people of the country as a museum-cum-center of learning.
Kovind, who arrived in Odisha on a two-day tour, inaugurated the museum in presence of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other eminent dignitaries at a special function held in Cuttack.
The President will also attend the 6th annual convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) here on Sunday. During the ceremony, he will lay the foundation stone of the Skill Development India Centre and inaugurate the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and the Indian Oil Odisha campus in the city.
