Tired of the daily 9-5? Being with nature can be a quick fix! Beaches you say? Then the Puri beach might as well be the best option for you! The Puri sea beach is located in the state of Odisha and on the Bay of Bengal. The city is a devotional center for the Hindu pilgrimage as the home-town of lord Jagannath and the beach is a universal favourite.
You get to feel connected to the energy of the devotees the moment you enter the city! It puts you on such a high frequency that all your anxieties suddenly start to ease out. The surf, the sand the gentle sun on your skin and the soothing beach air with the smell of the salt makes you be very present in the current moment and gives you the much-wanted me time that you’re worthy of!

This is a favourite spot for all you people looking to spend some time with your families. The children will love the beach, the elderly get to see their deities and if you’re not so spiritual you can find solace in all the beautiful resorts around the city. There a variety of stall stalls that sell everything from hats to little jewelry to clothes but the main attraction and my personal favourite is the seafood! Indeed! The fishes are freshly caught from the sea and are served with minimum spices that keep the flavour of the fish intact! My mouth has started watering by just talking about it!
The sea beach is as pious as the temple itself because the wood-log from which the first sculpture of the three deities were carved out came floating from the very sea and the king who headed the whole project king Indradyumna was instructed to use this log for the making of the deities through dreams! Isn’t that incredible?!
